The FINEPLACER® matrix rs is a semi-automatic rework station representing the latest development from Finetech, encompassing the "Built to be Best" philosophy.

From November 15-18, Finetech will exhibit professional system solutions for hot air SMD rework at the Productronica 2011 show in Munich.

FINEPLACER® core – cost-efficient hot air rework solution

Since its introduction two years ago, the FINEPLACER ® core has been firmly established in the market. This entry model for professional SMD rework addresses primarily small and medium sized enterprises that are planning to invest in a cost-effective and comprehensive solution with a wide range of applications. FINEPLACER® core allows safe rework of virtually the full bandwidth of typical SMD components on small to medium-sized boards.

Like all of Finetech’s rework systems, FINEPLACER® core is based on superior and proven hot air soldering technology. In order to ensure a very gentle heat transfer according to IPC/JEDEC standards, the thermal management provides harmonized interaction of top and bottom heating. With respect to components and board size and following Finetech’s mission of engineering environmentally friendly machines, only the necessary heat is being conveyed. For optimized soldering results, FINEPLACER® core supports the use of nitrogen and other process gases.

Thanks to its compact design, the FINEPLACER® core doesn’t compromise with respect to its functional range either. Quite on the contrary, it efficiently supports all functionalities of a future-proof rework system. The full rework cycle can be integrated into the machine, including de-soldering and soldering, component removal and site cleaning, re-balling (array), paste printing (component or board), paste dipping and fluxing.

The FINEPLACER® core will be on display with the newly developed 10x autozoom camera and a support solution for flex boards.

High-end rework system FINEPLACER® matrix rs

FINEPLACER® matrix rs is an innovative rework station which is available to a wide range of applications and ensures compatibility with future technology developments. The unique market concept of integrated process management (IPM) makes this machine a reference in professional rework. The machine was designed in close co-operation with globally active OEM.

Centerpiece of the FINEPLACER® matrix is the highly efficient bottom heating module RB30 which sets new standards in the rework of large multilayer boards. In perfect balance with the top heating, 4200 W power guarantees a very even heat distribution when reworking large boards with massive components. Twelve segments with independently adjustable temperature zones offer perfect batch rework and pre-heating conditions when preparing several boards at a time, providing a significantly improved workflow and shortened process times.

Thanks to its modular system architecture, the FINEPLACER® matrix can be easily equipped with a wide spectrum of rework and assembly modules. This unrivaled versatility makes it the ultimate answer to the technological challenges of today and tomorrow and a truly future-proof investment.

The modular FINEPLACER® systems offer maximum process flexibility in many different connection technologies. They include a wide variety of soldering and bonding technologies, as well as ultrasonic and thermal compression bonding. FINEPLACER® systems are used especially in R&D, prototype building and small series production.
