ZESTRON, the worldwide leading provider of high precision cleaning products, services and training solutions is pleased to announce that Axel Vargas, Application Engineer, ZESTRON America, is a featured presenter at the 2012 SMTA Guadalajara Tech Forum. Mr. Vargas will present “DI-water vs. Chemistry: Comparative Cleaning Study to Showcase the Effective Removal of OA Flux Residues” on November 14th.
There are several factors that are currently limiting the effectiveness of a DI-water cleaning process. These factors include increased PCB densities, miniature components and reduced standoff heights. This in turn results in the long term reliability of assemblies being compromised. Mr. Vargas will discuss these challenges and offer a process solution alternative that will produce the cleanliness level required.
Mr. Vargas, A.S.Inst.Eng., is an active member of the Surface Mount Technology Association as well as the IPC. He has contributed extensively to comprehensive lead-free and eutectic screening studies, conducted at ZESTRON’s Technical and Analytical Centers.
The 2012 SMTA Guadalajara Tech Forum is scheduled for November 14th-15th at the Crowne Plaza Guadalajara, Mexico. For more information and to register for this free event, please visit SMTA Guadalajara.
