LPKF Laser & Electronics has announced it will exhibit at the 2013 IPC/APEX Exposition, which takes place February 19-21 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, Calif. Situated in booth 2333, LPKF will showcase the MicroLine 1120 P, a compact UV laser system designed for processing bare PCBs.

An affordable entry-level system, the MicroLine 1120 P is ideal for high-mix manufacturing environments. It cuts, drills, and ablates surface material with the tightest geometric tolerances and a comprehensive materials list ranging from rigid to flex.

Among the benefits of UV laser cutting is the elimination of physical stress exerted on the board, allowing more circuits per panel while eliminating damaging effects such as burring.

Demonstrating the MicroLine 1120 P live throughout the exposition, also featured in booth 2333 will be LPKF’s solutions for the surface mount technology industry. LPKF is the leading manufacturer of laser systems used in the production of SMT stencils and also supplies reusable stencil frames.

To see the MicroLine 1120 P in action or to learn more about LPKF’s solutions for the SMT industry, stop by booth 2333 at the IPC/APEX Expo or visit www.lpkfusa.com.

Established in 1976, LPKF Laser & Electronics manufactures milling machines and laser systems used in circuit board and microelectronics fabrication, medical technology, the automotive sector, and the production of solar cells. LPKF’s worldwide headquarters is located in Garbsen, Germany outside of Hannover, which maintains North American headquarters in Portland, OR.
