BEST Inc Announces PCBVac™ a new “Shop Vac” for PCBs
Rolling Meadows, IL — BEST Inc. is pleased to announce the new PCBVac™ a shop vac for your PCB repair operation which can clean up both unwanted liquids and solids from a PCB. This adjustable, yet powerful vacuum cleaning system allows you to simply connect to clean, filtered shop air and then have a hand held tool in your hand to get around and underneath components. The Teflon™ heat resistant nozzles on the end of the handheld are great for cleaning up molten solder and the nozzles can be trimmed to size thereby allowing different vacuum pressures to be developed on a PCB.
Use for this system are varied including liquids and solids. Solids can be solidified solder fines, scraped off solder mask or coatings. Liquids such as unreacted flux, flux cleaners, solvents and other liquids can be sucked off the surface of the board. This eliminates the problem of “pushing around” the dirt on a PCB instead getting it off the board.
Each PCBVac™ system consists of a controller with ON/OFF and vacuum adjustment, a quick disconnect plug and flex input tubing and filtration, a handheld vacuum applicator inclusive of 6 ft of flex hose and (5) tips which can be configured by the user. The hand piece has a trap system which can be cleaned out when particulates, solder or liquids get sucked up from a board.
“Customers will really like this versatile product for cleaning up flux residues, small scraped off particulates and for cleaning solutions on or out from underneath parts.” remarked Katy Radcliff, product manager of Best Inc.
The unit cost is $330 and is available for immediate shipment.
