ZENTECH MANUFACTURING EARNS CERTIFICATION AS QUALIFIED MANUFACTURER TO IPC J-STD-001 AND IPC-A-610 Recognized as an IPC-Trusted Source and QML Listed

Jun 08, 2014

IPC’s Validation Services Program has awarded an IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 Qualified Manufacturers Listing (QML) to Zentech Manufacturing Inc., an electronics and engineering service firm in Baltimore, Md. The facility underwent an intensive two-day audit based on two of IPC’s foremost standards: IPC J-STD-001, Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies and IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies.

Zentech met or exceeded the requirements for the electronics industry’s most rigorous classification, Class 3, which is intended for high-performance electronics assemblies and is now listed as an IPC-trusted source capable of manufacturing in accordance with industry best practices. Zentech and other trusted sources of supply can be found on IPC’s QML/QPL (Qualified Product Listing) database at www.ipcvalidation.org.

This is a great achievement for Zentech,” said Matt Turpin, president & CEO of Zentech Manufacturing. “Earning the IPC QML is a prime example of the kind of cohesive teamwork that is the hallmark of our company. Zentech is proud to have achieved this certification from IPC.”

Waleid Jabai, Zentech’s vice president of manufacturing echoes Turpin’s comment, “The certification is the culmination of a nearly five-year effort in driving our processes to meet the standards set by IPC. We achieved this because every member of our team is committed to delivering excellence.”

IPC’s Validation Services QPL/QML Program was developed to promote supply chain verification and provides auditing and certification of electronics companies’ products and processes which conform to IPC standards.

The electronics industry has a way to verify and encourage companies to manufacture in accordance with IPC standards, and momentum for IPC’s Validation Service Program is growing. Through the use of site audits, data validation and testing as required, IPC is building up a network of trusted sources of supply throughout the electronics industry,” said Randy Cherry, IPC director of Validation Services. “We are pleased to recognize Zentech Manufacturing as the newest member of IPC’s network of trusted QML suppliers.”
