The team at Altus Group has reported that the Southern Manufacturing and Electronics exhibition was a resounding success this year. With over 9,000 visitors attending the show the company stood out as a leading supplier in their field. As a result they made positive connections with companies from across the country.
Altus welcomed a higher than normal footfall to their stand as the industry continues to grow and manufacturers look at re-shoring electronics production to become more self-reliant following recent challenges.
“The exhibition was the busiest I have ever seen,” said Joe Booth, Altus CEO. “This is so encouraging as it shows that the industry is strong and companies are looking to invest in the future with innovative manufacturing solutions.”
Altus showcased a range of the latest technology from their stand, which included demonstrating the most advanced 3D AOI inspection solutions from Koh Young, and the capabilities of fully automated robotic soldering from Promation USA.
Joe said: “Visitors were really impressed by the equipment that we presented during the show. It was the perfect opportunity to demonstrate our full turnkey solutions for SMT, THT and component management, as well as enabling us to learn more about the newest developments in industry.
“We were joined on the stand by Essemtec who demonstrated the Fox MFC, an outstanding smart sized modular pick-and-place machine. Thanks to its flexibility and the capacity to meet high-mix SMT production requirements, it was certainly one of the most popular machines on the stand.
“We were so impressed by the success of the show that we have already booked our stand for 2024. It will be even bigger and include a bigger range of innovative equipment. We look forward to seeing everyone at the exhibition next year in Farnborough!”
