In this new position, Pat is responsible for daily management of the Training Services Department, which includes course scheduling, customer interaction and staff management. Additionally, she acts as STI's liaison with IPC regarding specification development and updates, training curriculum development, and guiding and following future technological trends.
Pat joined the STI Electronics, Inc. training team in January 2001 after coming from Electronics Training Advantage (ETA) as its Director of Training. Pat has more than 20 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, technical instruction, and instructional systems design and development.
Pat gained her experience at Hughes Aircraft Co. as a technical trainer and was certified as a Category C Instructor/Examiner. She also worked for Comarco, Inc. as a training manager in support of the Soldering Technology Training Facility (China Lake) for seven years. Pat taught WS-6536D, E, DOD-STD-2000 and MIL-STD-2000 Certification courses while working at Comarco. Additionally, she worked for SAIC as an instructor and training manager in support of the Electronics Manufacturing Productivity Facility (EMPF).
Pat's experience also includes curriculum development. Over the years, she has been involved with the development of the IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IPC-7711/21 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 IPC Training and Certification Programs.
Pat is accredited by the IPC as a Master Instructor for IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC 7711/21.
