When choosing materials, do you specify your thermal PCB needs? For instance, are you specifying temperature or are you selecting materials by brand name?

There may be supplier guidelines or accepted practice, but there is no shear specification for printing either paste or glue. Beyond the issue of not knowing the shear value, what's the problem that you see when printing glue?

Not specific to QFP, but I had a run of poorly etched boards. I could see the short using 75X magnification with back lighting, but only some of the time. Nasty little shorts on ~25% of the boards that cost us a boat-load of cash.

Have you moved this LED to a different dispensing head? I have seen some dispensing heads that are out of adjustment cause the same problem. Jerry

I look for specification for degolding - pretinning for SMT and through hole parts (in the military sector) . I found IPC JSTD 001 and some ECSS ...08 but without visual real criterias on the product. Thanks for your inputs .
