Leds are getting shifting during mounting when nozzles increase | 2 August, 2022

when i use only one nozzle to mounting 3535 cree power leds, it works good but when i use 2 or more nozzles, leds are getting rotated or upturned just after the nozzle relaese the led. it's like nozzle throws the led not mounts.

But not all the leds have this problem. If we have 100 leds to be places, %30 of them is placed good and others have the situtation i mention about.

Thank you. (Machine is panasonic cm)

So these are XPE's? Are they CM402's or 602's? Are you using custom nozzles? We've had the same issues over the years. We've gotten our custom nozzles from Count on Tools, I actually have 10 new ones on the way. Slowing the placement speed, increasing the vacuum break. Obviously the mount gap needs to be right. Another thing we've had luck on, if all the pre mentioned tweaks don't help. We will completely change the paste in our printer for fresh, which has also helped.

I got special nozzles, too. but i think i recognize them wrong into the program. Do you please tell me what's the recommended vacuum break time, placement condition keeping time and placement speed

My initial thought is that the part is slightly delayed in releasing. When you are running one head, it doesn't matter. But when running multiple heads, the machine starts to move to the next placement before the part has fully released from the nozzle, so it's being skewed. I don't know your machine, so I don't know how to manipulate that. But slowing placement speed down, and adding delay after placement are what's needed, in my mind.

We have been known to bring the break air to, and past .1 on the gauge. You have to be careful, as you increase the break air It can blow small parts that are close to any light, or send a part that it is trying to mount. So we always increase incrementally. As far as speed goes. I would go to 20%, if it mounts good there, go to 40% etc. The mount time I would go with 4X. I guess what I'm getting at is trial and error with those lights is good course of action. What machine model are we talking about? Our 602's have some other options that can be useful, that the 402's don't have.
