While Europlacer will be using Productronica to highlight is expanding SMT Line Solutions offering that includes premium equipment from selected business partners, the company’s multi-award-winning atom3 machine will take centre stage on the Productronica booth. The atom3 is the ultra-flexible atom model that, along with its high-speed atom4 sibling, is opening up new global assembly markets for Europlacer.
Since its public European launch at Productronica 2017, the atom platform has gone on to win many awards. The two atom machine variants are both proving popular in Very Long Board (VLB) applications, notably in the assembly of panellised conventional and flex LED lighting boards. It is a rapidly growing sector of Europlacer’s global business, enabled by the special capabilities of its own surface mount equipment along with partner products that the company supplies and supports.
For example, at Productronica, the atom3 machine is co-located with Speedprint’s popular SP1550 long board screen printer and Heller reflow oven to demonstrate a typical configuration for highly effective VLB processing.
In addition to the atom and VLB configuration, Europlacer will feature its exceptionally popular iineo placement machine (the 500th iineo machine was recently installed at a customer site in Poland) and a Speedprint SP710AVI printer. The printer will feature a top specification with on-board dual media dispensing via an integrated ADu+ module, along with traceability from the award-winning S-Track system. S-Track permits barcode labels to be applied to boards inside the printer, enabling traceability right from the very start of the assembly process.
Augmenting the display of Speedprint printers, Europlacer pick & place machines and the Heller oven is the Inovaxe IA200 intelligent smart SMT reel storage system. The fully-mobile IA200 smart cart handles 7-inch, 13-inch and 15-inch reels up to 56mm in width. Accommodating up to 1,120 reels, it is replenished in the user’s stores area, then simply moved to a line-side position where it guides operators to pick the correct reel for production. The IA200 helps to streamline materials handing that supports productivity on the SMT line.
Tying all the company’s SMT Line Solution equipment together is Europlacer’s Connected Factory (CFX) interface. Europlacer will demonstrate the advantages of CFX in real time on its Productronica booth, complete with live data monitoring on mobile devices.
